Amy Hawkinson is Chief of Staff and leads internal and external communications, aligning the university’s overall brand and marketing strategy. Hawkinson is passionate about telling stories, especially those of Purdue Global’s students. In her 10 years at the university, she has served in public relations, internal communications, fundraising and alumni relations.
With a nose for news, Hawkinson started her career as a television journalist and producer in Chicago. Some of her favorite work followed as the public relations lead at an internationally recognized architecture firm, promoting the opening of some of the world’s tallest buildings, including the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, UAE. She also worked as a part of the Chicago 2016 Olympic bid.
Hawkinson earned a bachelor’s degree in communications at Loyola University Chicago. She and her husband have three children.
